This is the last group of 6 childbirth interventions that Natural Birth advocates believe we need to avoid in order to achieve a ‘natural’ birth.
In total there are 30 interventions we are meant to avoid in order to achieve a certain ‘type’ of birth. That’s exhausting, isn’t it?
Which leaves us with the dilemma, is there one ‘type’ of birth that is ‘right, better, ideal’? And even asking that question is why Women have become so mean to one another to the detriment of ourselves, our families and societies.
Common Knowledge Trust, www.commonknowledgetrust.org has been committed since the mid1996s explain the Concept that IT SHOULD BE NORMAL AND NATURAL WHEN PREGNANT TO SELF-LEARN BIRTH AND BIRTH-COACHING SKILLS THEN USE THOSE SKILLS TO WORK THROUGH THE ACTIVITY OF BIRTHING YOUR BABY IN YOUR BIRTH NO MATTER WHAT.
This Concept was developed by hundreds of fathers and mothers in the early 1970s as they were also developing all the skills to help themselves housed in www.birthingbetter.org (part of Common Knowledge Trust).
This is what Birthing Better families want to share with you:
1) We get pregnant to have a baby not to have a ‘type’ of birth
2) The birth of each of our babies is important to us and each woman is doing the activity of birthing her baby and can use skills to work through this activity
3) Giving birth is infrequent, a one-off, can’t be replayed and is life-transforming and should be elevated to a skilled activity just because it’s an activity that is infrequent, one-off, can’t be replayed and leaves life-long memories … common sense!
Join our Birthing Better family of skilled birthing families or learn any other skills-based method then use those skills. Take charge of this activity. This is a no-brainer. And if you have any or all of these 30 ‘interventions’ or childbirth assessments, monitoring and procedures … just get on with it and skillfully birth your baby! We’ve done it. You can too!
