A Doula in USA
‘I watched the video with my six year old daughter and she was able to figure out quite easily where her big hip bones and sit bones are and to map her pelvis. It was very cute to then have her explain the whole concept of pelvic work during birthing to her older sister!
I have also been able to use the Kit with some of my doula couples. I just had a couple that really worked a lot with the Kit in preparation for their birth in early August and they had a very beautiful, unmedicated birth in a hospital alternative birthing room with a midwife. They had a slow, easy paced labor (18 hours) during which they were never afraid or uncertain about what was happening in the woman’s body and during pushing (which was quite hard work and lasted 1 1/2 hours) they were both so sure of themselves in the different pushing positions and working to get the baby down the birth canal (the baby had a double cord wrap around his neck). I think the best thing for me was having the dad so involved during pushing and so sure of the way he needed to work with his wife’s pelvic structure to help bring his son into the world.
