Advice to teen pregnant mothers-to-be

Don’t get lost in the opinions of others. Focus on yourself. Focus on becoming skilled to birth your baby. Focus on learning skills for use as you birth your baby whether you keep your baby or not. Your number #1 job right now is just to be like other pregnant women and get ready for birth.

Family advice toward a teen pregnant mother-to-be

Help! Whether you’re so angry you’re spitting nails or supportive of this probably unplanned teen pregnancy. Your number #1 job now is to help her have the very best birth she can have and the pathway to that good birth is for her to learn and use birth skills. If you’re going to be with her during the birth then you become the birth-coach.

If the dad is going to be the birth-coach then help him become a successful one.

Teens are as capable of being skilled as any other aged pregnant woman! Don’t be fooled or trapped by age. That makes no sense. Focus on one thing and one thing alone … help this teen pregnant mother-to-be to become a skilled birthing woman.

Birthing Better advice to teen pregnant mothers-to-be

As a teen mom-to-be having a baby, you will give birth in a hospital, birth centre or have a homebirth. You’ll also have an obstetrician or midwife. And you may have interventions or natural birth, If you use our skills YOU will absolutely have a positive birth.

You know there will be pain in contractions if you labor so you want to be prepared and learn how-to cope. YOU CAN DO THIS. If you have a non-laboring Caesarean you’ll still have birth skills to use on the way to hospital, while being prepped and during c-section surgery.

What Birthing Better families want you to know is that you alone have to do the activity of birthing your baby. We want to be there with you through the birth skills you can learn, practice and use. And in our course, your baby’s father or someone else who will be your birth coach has their own set of birth-coaching skills to help you work through this activity of birthing your baby.

Birth is such a gas. But I don’t think it would have been so great if my mom hadn’t given me The Pink Kit Package. She was a super birth coach. And she said she won’t have had a clue how to help if it weren’t for the pink kit’.
